NUMBER 9 KNOW A NEW VIEW OF A NEW YOU

Dear Friends,
At best people only see a glimpse of themselves for fleeting moments as they rush through life.
Maybe it is when they first wake up in the morning. It could be during a church service or a conversation when a light bulb goes off on the inside of the person God made you to be.
A 300 pound man said he had to change the way he saw himself in the reflections on the street windows before he could experience thinness in his life. In other words, you have to see it before you can be it.

Physiologists say it takes 21 days of new activity to create a new habit. Benjamin Franklin had 13 habits he worked on to have a better life but never more than 3 at any time.

I recommend for 21 days you just work on one. Work on seeing what God sees when He looks at you. Let us change the way we see ourselves in the light of what Jesus has done for us. Paul said:

“I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ in me.”

Spend less time thinking of your ability, your appearance, your behavior and your condition. Think about the unlimited one in you.

1 John 4:17
“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.”

Our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. We should live every day with the greatest of confidence. Our standard is Jesus. He never ran from a problem. He never cowered in fear. He never avoided a need.
I am as He is in this world. Make this something to know and enjoy before you die.

My Friends,
What takes us from average to exceeding? What unlocks your secret potential that you feel?
I was on the phone with an old friend yesterday and she said that she is as excited with her new job prospect as when she first entered business 30 years ago. A vision of the future really touched her inner person.
Let me give you one idea that will unlock a value you have. You are important by the mere fact that you exist on the earth. God could reach people. He could preach to people but He will not. He gets pleasure by seeing His redeemed do it. Your value to others is priceless. When the apostle Paul had lost all hope of life an Angel appeared to him with a purpose.

Acts 27:23
For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

Friends, you have Caesars to speak to. They may look ordinary to you but God sees them as important people and you carry the life to them.

Number 7: KNOW THE WILL OF GOD FOR YOUR LIFE

Good Friends,
There are simple things that each of us should discover while we are on the earth.

We have discussed topics such as having one answer to prayer, seeing one person receive Christ, having one day of a limitless life, etc, etc. Today, we look at the thought that crosses everyone’s mind: “Am I in the will of God?”

Some simple steps to God’s best for your life are not as hard as you might think. First, ask yourself as you make a decision: “IS IT GOOD FOR GOD, IS IT GOOD FOR OTHERS, IS IT GOOD FOR MYSELF.” This will help you as you choose from the multitude of options in life. Second, ask what biblical framework makes your choice a good one.

1 John 5:13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

To do the will of God, you will want God to confirm your choices so the knowledge of His written guidance is important. There are many things you can know the answer to before you even consider if it is God’s will by simply being familiar with His words, His character, and His example in Jesus.

By reading the book we understand that there are two things He will never answer.

Reading the Bible

He will not give us what He has already given us. Also, He will not do for us what He has told us to do.
This is plenty to think about and discover before you die.

3rd thing you need to know before you die is YOU ARE CREATED IN GOD’S IMAGE.

The tennis player Andre Agassi did a camera commercial with theme “image is everything”. In a spiritual sense He was right.

When you understand your origins in God’s image then you will not want to walk or talk or act any other way than who you really are. You are lifted up to a noble future because you are born of the highest nobility. Your past as a child of the Creator guarantees your future as a high ambassador of the value, esteem, and dignity He has provided for every Human. Below is a picture of Leslie with a pygmy of Congo.

It is not the size of the container but the architect who created it that gives it precious worth.

1 Corinthians 1:27

Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”?
That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God.
Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ.
That’s why we have the saying,

“If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.”

Jesus is the express image of God. That means that we have an example, a model, a standard that we can follow as those also created in God’s image. It’s when you believe this that life takes on new meaning. Your eyes are lifted up to see more than you thought possible. You have the limitations of this world removed from your thinking and your heart. You identify more with the miracle worker than one receiving the miracle.

There is nothing ordinary about your life. You have had an encounter with the creator of the universe and an experience of salvation that now places the Lord Jesus in the very center of your being where you feel the witness of his presence . Why do so many nations have such a faith in the Gospel that they make laws to stop anyone from speaking the words found in scripture? they are convinced of its transforming power. It is a power they cannot control because its origin is not of this earth. They are confinced that if I am allowed to speak for one hour to their people and pray then their people will surrender 1000 years of cultural religion to follow the living Christ that we proclaim and history of the ministry has shown that they are correct. Jesus laid down the new law of the land.Out of his own words He said he was breaking poverty over anyone who will follow him . He said no one who beleives in him will be a captive to anyone or anything. He said that even the hardest case of lost sight is not to hard for him to fix. He said that favor with God the Creator is now available to every person who will receive it in his name. no waiting for heaven, No waiting for the lottery, No waiting for better days. No waiting on the government. Reach out today and act like you have what Jesus provided. this is the transforming power that cannot be stopped. It raises dead dreams as well as dead people. It lifts the weary to become warriors. It puts a smile on every person who sits in darkness for it truly is the light of the world.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim
that captives will be released,
that the blind will see,
that the downtrodden will be freed from their oppressors,
and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” ◙
He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. Everyone in the synagogue stared at him intently. Then he said, “This Scripture has come true today before your very eyes!” luke 4:18

Life is not meant to be a mundane, ordinary, stagnant experience but a continuous expressive encounter with your creator on your earth adventure before you lay down the cloak of your flesh and enter into the next life. What is the Gate you are to pass throuhg in order to enjoy the adventure?

romans 8:15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”

This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who He is, and we know who we are: Father and children.

Jesus invites you to go through the gate to this life he has paid for. It requires you to do one thing. It is not a hard thing but it is the only way into the realm of glory on earth that is provided.
Jesus says:

Listen to me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you will have it . Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them. Whatever you pray and make request for, if you believe that you have received it it shall be yours. MARK 11:24

Prayer for humans is as natural as breathing but prayer that sees answers requires that we walk through the faith gate into the unseen and Love a life of seeing our answers before anybody else does. We are given the ability to see into the realm of answers and know we have what we desire. We are given the tool of Faith to say the results with no natural evidence of them. We are given the opportunity to make life a wonder rather than a work. Walk through the Gate.

Life can be an exciting adventure or a grind. Where do you find yourself ? When we were preaching in Benin, West Africa on the night the committee had given up all hope of setting up the location for sound, lights, platform, and recording. It looked like a catastrophe in the making but I asked myself Who could believe that we could set this up for 80,000 people with just a few hours remaining?
I went to the early audience of 5000 and asked for the boys who were 14 years old. About 30 boys came forward. I said you are my new team. Do you believe we can do this? They shouted YES with a smile and began to work. 3 minutes before the opening, the lights and sound were turned on and worked!

Friends, You never have to lose your enthusiasm for life. There is more to be discovered than you have years to live. What turns off the zeal of youth? Indoctrination. We can set our belief system in stone and turn our minds off. We can turn a powerful moving power in what we believe to happen into a dead formality of creed called our faith. 

To believe is to act. We must move forward and expect change as we paint the picture of the future in our heart. It is vibrant, happy and full of wonder like our youth. Don’t let age rob you of your dreams. Don’t let yesterday limit your tomorrow. Don’t let mediocrity kill your potential. Rediscover your youth. God gives you a second chance when Jesus says you must be Born Again.

The most disgusting reality TV show on the air is parading woman onto the program who want to identify the father of their child. It is a constant embarrassment for the women and the men. Self dignity and value is stripped away of these individuals as the show goes for ratings.

We are all in a birthing process. Our inner man, our Heart is producing whatever the seed that we planted.

“All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it’s not only around us; it’s within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We’re also feeling the birth pangs. These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance. That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don’t see what is enlarging us. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.” message bible romans 8

While pregnant, others can’t tell what your producing but someday everybody will see and know the daddy of our dreams. You do not need a DNA test to know the father. Plant good seeds, words, thoughts, and desire so all will rejoice at the birth of your dreams.

It was 1979 that I ministered in Spain for 3 months as the first foreign soil to be on with the Gospel. It was a wonderful season of running with the bulls of Pamplona and walking across the mountain ranges of the north as well as tent ministry in Madrid.

In reflecting on the experience and how it shaped my mindset for years to come, I would say that I saw the condition of humans in a new light. I was full of zeal for God and happy to know at least that I was going to Heaven. What slapped me across the face was a reality check that people were dead while alive. We would call that a zombie. They walked, they talked, they ate and drank but had no life. They had a title for religion but few even practiced that.

All seemed to be void of spirituality with no thought for things of the heart other then fulfilling immediate passions. It caused me to be moved with compassion for the world and I decided to follow my heart in a quest to bring life to a dying world. A great inspiration to me is this verse: Jesus said:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live( John 5:25)

Friends , If there is no spark in your heart, twinkle in your eye or hop in your step you might be dying… The new life God is offering every human brings dead dreams back to life - dead hopes begin to invigorate you again and dead formality is replaced by happy laughter. Come back to life and hear His word again.

We have just ministered in our 5th country this year and continue to hear the cry for a miracle witness of the Risen Christ. It is important to understand why miracles happen in a person’s life. From our experience, I believe most people think it is a special gift, a special anointing, a great faith, a special move of God, a special time in history, a moving of the spirit, a response to sacrificial prayer, or just luck.

Jesus did not think it was any of these things . When His disciples thought that it was a faith failure to receive an answer to act as He would act, He clearly said it was not a problem of the amount of faith you have. Jesus said faith can been as small as the smallest seed. It is not a matter of quantity but the ability to conduct the life of God into a person or situation so that change can occur.

Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Jesus is the Light of the world and we act as lights set up on a hill to transmit the light we receive 24 hours a day from the source of light, power, and divine energy.

He never turns off and never cuts Himself. The opportunity and challenge of a believer is to radiate that power and transfer the life, healing, peace and power through their body to a hurting world. Our faith can be as small as a tiny wire in a phone yet that wire can transmit a message that would rock the world. Its not the size of the wire but what is coming across it that matters. Today be the channel of his blessing everywhere.
